About

Welcome to Untamed Ember, the podcast where pleasure is your birthright, curiosity is your compass, and unlearning shame is part of the foreplay.

Hosted by Dr. Misty, Untamed Ember brings real, unfiltered conversations about sex, relationships, kink, and polyamory into the open.

Dr. Misty is an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist & Supervisor, clinically licensed in Washington State, Maryland, Virginia, and D.C., and a radically inclusive educator helping people reclaim pleasure without outdated “shoulds,” shame spirals, or performative nonsense.

Here, we don’t do cold, clinical sex talk or vague, fluffy advice. We do real conversations about desire, intimacy, identity, and the glorious mess of being human in a body with a nervous system. This space is queer-affirming, body-positive, kink-aware, and free of the judgment that keeps so many people silent about what they really want.

Here, we peel back layers of cultural conditioning, explore polyamory and kink dynamics, and get playfully honest about what turns us on in every sense. We also dig into nervous system-friendly ways to bring pleasure back into daily life, without guilt, pressure, or performance.

If you are ready to reclaim pleasure, rewrite your internal scripts, and laugh a little while turning yourself on to your own life, you are in the right place.

Welcome to Untamed Ember. Let’s get curious.

Dr. Misty Gibson

Hey, I’m Dr. Misty. I'm an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, clinically licensed in Washington State, Maryland, Virginia, and D.C., neuro-inclusive pleasure nerd, and the unapologetic firestarter behind Untamed Ember. I help people break up with shame, burn the “good girl” rulebook, and finally figure out what the hell actually turns them on (besides memes and nervous system regulation). With years of experience working with humans of all kinds: neurodivergent brains, kinky babes, recovering people-pleasers, and folks redefining what intimacy means, I bring real talk, trauma-informed care, and just the right amount of filth and flirty metaphor to every conversation. This isn’t your clinical sex ed. This is unfiltered, sensual, permission-packed exploration. Because your pleasure doesn’t need to be polite, and your sexuality never needed to be explained. Let’s unmask desire, stretch your pleasure ceiling, and get real about sex, shame, and why your ex was probably the problem.
